As you've already instructed GetMeMoving the process is under way and no time has been wasted

Your conveyancers will be obtaining title deeds and any other documents required by the land registry. They will also be checking if there is an outstanding mortgage on the property

your conveyancer will prepare the draft contract and send them to your buyers conveyancer

Your buyers conveyancers will go through the contract and raise any enquiries they have

Your buyers solicitors should now have the results from any searches they conducted on the property

Once the buyers solicitors are happy with the results of the searches and any enquiries raised they will arrange a date for exchange of contracts

Your conveyancer will check the transfer deed and send on to you for a signature and prepare for completion

Now its completion time! You now need to vacate the property at the time agreed, hand the keys over and your buyers conveyancer will send the funds to your conveyancer

Your conveyancer will confirm they have received the proceeds and send the title deeds and the transfer deeds to your buyers conveyancers. At this point your conveyancer will pay the estate agent, any outstanding mortgage and take their agreed fee. The remaining proceeds will be returned to you or transferred into your new house purchase.
