Can I advertise my property on GetMeMoving if I am using an Estate Agent ?
Yes, even if you have a 'Sole Agency' agreement you can advertise your property on this site as we are not an estate agent. We are simply a means by which you can advertise your property yourself. You supply all the information and deal with the buyer directly.
Though very rare you will need to check that your contract does not say 'sole selling rights', in such a case you may be liable to pay the agents commission.
You can get a good idea of what to include in your advert by looking at other property details, either on this site or other estate agents sites.
If you still have the details of your property that were given to you when you purchased it use them as a guide. If there are other similar properties on the market looking at a copy of their details could give you a good idea what you should include.
It is vital that the information you upload is true and not misleading in any way.
Your picture should be a JPG image. This is a standard image file type produced by most digital cameras. If you don't have a digital camera ask friends and family and you should be able to find someone to take a picture for you.
Though a picture from a digital camera is best, you could also scan a traditional picture if you have access to a scanner.
Size:
Ideally your picture should be as under 300k, there is a file size limit of 2mb. Please check that your picture is less than this. If it isn't you will need to re-size it.
If you have image editing software you can use that to reduce the size if needed. If not there are websites that will re-size the image for you quickly and easily such as http://e3.uci.edu/toolbox/imageresize/
